I am determined to attain a successful future by going to college. I believe that I have what it takes to run with the wolf pack. My all-around personality allows me to easily interact with people from different backgrounds. I am well known around my peers for my art creativity. Plus, I have been able to experience things that not everyone can say they’ve experienced. Also, my character qualities give me a strong reputation that anyone would want to have. I believe that my unique personality and my life experiences are what set me apart from anyone else.
What
makes my life experiences so unique? I have had great opportunities in life
that not many other people have had. My most memorable experiences were getting
to march in the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade in 2008 and marching in ABC’s
Walt Disney Christmas parade in 2010. What exactly did I gain from these
awesome opportunities? Both of these experiences taught me that hard work and
dedication do not go unnoticed. Both of
these parades allowed me and my band peers to perform in front of millions of
people. I am truly honored to have a chance in the spotlight on national
television.
I am a person with strong moral character and
I know how to respond under pressure. I know that I have a very big heart which
I use to treat everybody with respect and equality. One experience I had
involving my moral qualities happened to me in lunch my freshman year in high school.
A fellow peer of mine asked me to buy her a cookie. I apologized to her and
explained that I could not buy her a cookie since I had no extra money on me.
That is when she suggested that I go steal one. I knew I was not going to steal
anything. I didn’t mean to disappoint her, but an act like that could get me
into a whole lot of trouble. My decision not to steal not only saved me from
getting into trouble, but it also made me stronger in standing firm for what is
right.
I have used my imagination to create exceptional projects for certain high school assignments, and also to see perspectives that are hard for most people to envision. Sketching has been a hobby of mine since I was a toddler. I am known for being creative when it comes to art. Most times while either listening to music or viewing art I can feel what the artist may have been feeling when they created the masterpiece. I also get this feeling when I am looking at awesome buildings designed by creative architects. I think that anyone who is creative can be profiled as an architect. I could be that one unique architect that brings a different kind of perspective to this one university.
A unique person like me will definitely add more diversity to North Carolina State University. My values and beliefs that define me will definitely be an asset to the NC State family.
